I love trails of all kinds but don’t get to do them hardly ever anymore, but wanted to share with you some of the most dangerous trails from around the world. The trails I grew up with were never like these but do love reading about them!
Here are some below, along with a dangerous road that has now been turned into a beautiful walking path and a fun FREE dangerous trail game!

Devil’s Slide Trail: From Treacherous Highway to Breathtaking Pathway
Kalalau Trail – Kauai, Hawaii
The Kalalau Trail is a trail along Nā Pali Coast of the island of Kauai in the state of Hawaii. The trail runs approximately 11 miles (18 km) along the island’s north shore from Keʻe Beach to the Kalalau Valley. The trail has been named one of the most beautiful, and dangerous, hikes in the world.
Huayna Picchu Trail, Peru
A steep and, at times, exposed pathway leads to the summit. Some portions are slippery and steel cables provide some support during the one-hour climb. The ascent is more challenging between November and April because the path up the mountain becomes slippery in the rainy season. Better conditions for climbing can be expected during the dry season, which runs from May to September. There are two trails in varying length that visitors can take to hike to the summit. The shorter trail takes approximately 45-60 minutes to reach the top, which the longer trail takes approximately 3 hours to the summit.
The Maze – Canyonlands, Utah
The Maze is the least accessible district of Canyonlands. Due to the district’s remoteness and the difficulty of roads and trails, travel to the Maze requires more time. Visitors must be prepared for self-sufficiency and the proper equipment or gear for self-rescue. Rarely do visitors spend less than three days in the Maze, and the area can easily absorb a week-long trip.
Caminito del Rey – Spain
El Caminito del Rey (The King’s Little Path) is a walkway, pinned along the steep walls of a narrow gorge in El Chorro, near Ardales in the province of Málaga, Spain. The name derives from the original name of Camino del Rey (King’s Pathway), abbreviated locally to el caminito. The walkway had fallen into disrepair and was partially closed for over a decade. After four years of extensive repairs and renovations, the walkway re-opened in 2015. It has been known in the past as the “world’s most dangerous walkway” following five deaths in 1999 and 2000
There are many more, that if you like I can add later.

Lori and Roy are mountain climbers with a great experience behind them. They simply adore the nature and climbing mountains is their way to relate more closely with the nature, to soak in all the beauties that it offers. That was the motivation for Lori and Roy to conquer so many mountain peaks, always wishing and aiming for something more.
So, at the moment those two are on the mountain Karesk, standing in front of a new challenge. Namely, they like to conquer the mountain peak but from one completely new side. There is a rather dangerous path on this side of the mountain but Lori and Roy feel prepared enough to start this hard journey. They are together with their friends – mountain climbers, willing to discover the troubles that this dangerous path could offer them.Lori and Roy have just set their camp, so now, they would need just few more things, and few objects that will help them conquer the dangerous peak tomorrow.
The whole expedition is rather excited because of the new challenge and they feel quite reliable in themselves but deep down they also feel certain fear. The facts say that this is one of the most dangerous trails which means that only a fool could take the challenge without any concern. However, we are sure that their experience won’t disappoint them and they will make the final step without any difficulty.
Hope you enjoyed!
