Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes is the signature fundraising walk of the American Diabetes Association. Formerly Step Out: Walk to Fight Diabetes and America’s Walk for Diabetes, the event has been taking place for more than 30 years!

STEP OUT WALK TO STOP DIABETES® IS MORE THAN A ONE DAY EVENT

Step Out is a day full of fun and excitement as we celebrate people living with diabetes and fundraise in support of the mission of the American Diabetes Association®.

Join an existing team or start a new one, and don’t forget to invite family, friends and coworkers to walk with you. Please visit your local event page for more event details.

We also have a year-round experience on our Step Out mobile app — it’s full of challenges designed to inspire your commitment to our mission and get you physically moving!

PARTICIPATION IN THE STEP OUT WALK TO STOP DIABETES® MAKES A DIFFERENCE

  • For over 30 years, Step Out Walk to Stop Diabetes through its fundraising, supports advancements in diabetes research, provides education programming and ensures that we can advocate for the over 37.3 million Americans living with diabetes.

Step Out Walks vary in length and each has its own local flavor, but some common themes can be found across all events.

How to be a Virtual Walker?

It’s easy!
Click on the “Register” button,
Find the Step Out you’d like to participate in locally, and
At the beginning of registering choose the VIRTUAL WALKER registration option.
That’s it!  Then get your Shirt to wear as you walk and help support the fight!
